Old Dunsborough Hall

Old Dunsborough Hall

The Hall with its long history of community involvement continues to create a sense of place for the Dunsborough community.

It was opened in January 1957 by Sir Stewart Bovell and with additional refurbishment provides a wide range of community uses.

Acquisition of the Catholic Church on Gibney Street by the Dunsborough Art Society in 1991 and its relocation to the Hall has secured its place in Old Dunsborough History. It is a well utilised community asset and is well loved by all who know it.

Country Woman's Australia, Church groups and Parent & Citizen committees held monthly community lunches in the Hall since the 1980s and the Dunsborough community markets were held fortnightly. Times have changed and these traditions closed in 2010.

However, Country Woman's continue the annual community Christmas lunch last Friday in November.

Regular Ballet classes, martial arts, band practice, carpet bowls
Wild Capers theatre group for staging of cabaret style productions
