Central Area Transit | CAT - Free Bus Central Area Transit | CAT - Free Bus

Central Area Transit (CAT) buses are free. You may get on and off them as often as you like without paying a fare.

We use a colour-coding system to identify the different routes each bus takes.

See below for an overview of the Perth, Fremantle and Joondalup CAT services.

CAT Bus Timetables

Perth Red CAT
Travels in an East-West loop from Queens Gardens in East Perth to Outram St in West Perth.

Perth Blue CAT
Travels in a North-South loop from the Barrack Street Jetty to Northbridge.

Perth Yellow CAT
Travels in a loop from East Perth to West Perth.

Perth Green CAT
Travels between Leederville Station and Elizabeth Quay Bus Station via City West, West Perth and St Georges Terrace.

Fremantle Red CAT
Travels east - west between the Maritime Museum and Ord Street.

Fremantle Blue CAT
Travels north-south between Fremantle Station and Douro Road.

Joondalup Red CAT
Starts and finishes at Joondalup Station and travels in an anti-clockwise direction via Lakeside Drive.

Joondalup Blue CAT
Starts and finishes at Joondalup Station and travels in a clockwise direction via Lakeside Drive.

Joondalup Yellow CAT
Starts and finishes at Joondalup Station and travels in a loop around Edith Cowan University (ECU).
