Founders, Luke Whelan and Blake Kelleway, grew up on Perth's sandy beaches and eventually grew tired of the 'dullsville' label often afforded to the isolated town by the rest of the country.
What started as a tongue in cheek hashtag and Instagram channel has grown exponentially into one of the most prominent voices in Western Australia.
Due to it's organic and community-driven beginnings, Perth Is OK is now an authoritative figure on all things to do, see, go, eat and drink in Australia's far west city.
It's very good! Its a bit hard finding events unless you pick a date, but if you do, PIO has a "lot" of events. I'd like to see event categories (Music, Festivals, Sport etc). Or maybe, PIO will emerge with a new way of allowing readers to find events.
