Most of us have heard how the mental scars from schoolyard bullying endure far longer than any physical damage. For far too many Queenslanders, this is an ugly truth lived every day. Bullying, once a hidden menace, today at least is more widely acknowledged, The Courier-Mail wrote in an Editorial during its Say No to Bullying campaign.
But despite what should be an increasingly civil society of enhanced cultural awareness delivered by more efficient interpersonal communication, our world appears only more prone to bullying, violence and anti-social behaviour than even a generation ago. Its an issue crying out for leadership from schools, business and the community.
