Family parklands located on the banks of the Swan River on the popular Burswood Peninsula.

Burswood Park is a 56-hectare sprawling parkland with play areas and pathways, local fauna and flora, the park is a magnificent public open space with plenty of attractions and relaxing spaces for all to enjoy.

Situated in the inner south-eastern suburb of Burswood within the Town of Victoria Park, the park boasts city views and is walking distance to some of Perth's premier destinations - including the Matagarup Bridge, Optus Stadium and Crown Perth.

Less than five kilometres from the city and 15 minutes from the airport, Burswood Park is a popular venue for locals and tourists alike, with its sweeping landscaped parklands, local fauna, manicured gardens and pathways.

Burswood Park is fully accessible.

Dogs are welcome at Burswood Park, but must be kept on a leash at all times in all areas of the park to protect our bird life and for the care of other patrons.

At times, we do find venomous snakes in the Park, particularly in October-November during breeding season and again in March to May when the babies are born.

Burswood Park is owned by the Western Australian Government and is managed by the Burswood Park Board.

Open Hours = 24/7
Burswood Park is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Getting There
Burswood Park is centrally located just minutes from Perth city on Great Eastern Highway.

The park is broadly bound by Great Eastern Highway and the Causeway to the south, Victoria Park Drive to the east, Optus Stadium to the north, and the Swan River to the west. Two park entrances are off Great Eastern Highway, however the park is also accessible via Victoria Park Drive off the Graham Farmer Freeway.

Pedestrian access
Pedestrian access to the park from the city is available via the Causeway or Matagarup Bridge, or it's an easy walk to park attractions from nearby train and bus stations.

Public transport
Located on the Armadale/Thornlie train line, Burswood Station is situated on the north eastern end of Burswood Park. It is a 300-metre walk to the Burswood Park Board administration office, or a 15-minute walk through the park to the Swan River foreshore.

A second train station, Stadium Station, is located to the far north of Burswood Park, though it is recommended that park visitors instead use Burswood Station for best access to the main picnic areas and river foreshore.

A bus stop is located near Resort Drive, and another near Bolton Avenue for visitors travelling east on Great Eastern Highway.

Cars
There is plenty of car parking available and and parking is free.

Taxi / Uber
There are no taxi ranks within Burswood Park, however, dedicated ranks are available at Crown Perth and Optus Stadium on Victoria Park Drive.

Bicycle
A dual use path along the Armadale/Thornlie line: Bike Path Network map.
There are no bike racks located within Burswood Park, however, racks can be found at various locations in Stadium Park.
