Subiaco Arts Centre

Only 10 minutes west of Perths central business district, the Subiaco Arts Centre is a multi-purpose venue surrounded by magnificent gardens often used for craft fairs, wedding photographs, picnics, and free summer twilight concerts presented by the City of Subiaco.

Originally built as the Subiaco City Hall in 1956, the building was converted into a performing arts venue and opened in 1984 as the Subiaco Theatre Centre. In 2006, the centre underwent major refurbishment and reopened as Subiaco Arts Centre.

The Centre boasts three dedicated performance areas including:
-:- Main Auditorium with a corner stage and raked seating three sides for 305
-:- The Studio with an intimate performance area seating 115
-:- Subiaco Theatre Gardens with a stunning Amphitheatre for outdoor concerts

In addition to presenting many high quality public performances, Subiaco Arts Centre also hosts keep-fit and yoga community classes, as well as actors workshops and theatre company rehearsals.

The Subiaco Arts Centre Gardens with a stunning Amphitheatre that comfortably seats 500 patrons. The magnificent gardens are often used for free summer twilight concerts present by the City of Subiaco.

Subiaco Arts Centre is home to Barking Gecko, Perths leading theatre company for young people.

Transport


Located on Hamersley Road in Subiaco and is well serviced by buses. Transperth bus services 10, 200 208 and 209 depart Perth and stop near the theatre on Hamersley Street. The nearest train stations are Daglish Station (10 minute walk) and Subiaco Station (15 minute walk).

Parking


Parking for 67 cars is available in the Subiaco Arts Centre Gardens Carpark, entry via Bagot and Hamersley Roads. There is no charge after 6pm weekdays or on weekends. At other times a fee is charged.

Access


ACROD parking bays are available in the Theatre Garden Carpark.

The facilities for wheelchair access include:
-:- Entry to The Studio and Main Auditorium via the ramp on the Bagot Road side of the building and via the lift from the ground floor.
-:- Unisex wheelchair accessible toilet on the Ground Floor.
-:- Allocated seating.
-:- A hearing induction loop.

Food & Beverage:


Bar facilities are available on performance nights.
